CBN.comLIVE ACTION MISSION STATEMENT
We are a youth led movement dedicated to building a culture of life and ending abortion, the greatest
human rights injustice of our time. We use new media to educate the public about the humanity of the
unborn and investigative journalism to expose threats against the vulnerable and defenseless.

WHO IS LILA ROSE?
Well, these days, it depends on who you ask. Those on the left say that Ms. Rose is a "discredited anti-choice activist" who puts on "heavily-edited productions" to further lies about Planned Parenthood. Those on the right say that Lila is "pro-life activist" who exposes the truth about PP - an organization that "aids and abets child sex rings," "promotes racism" and "gives medical misinformation." But all opinions aside, one thing is certain - Lila and the Live Action team have led numerous undercover investigations within Planned Parenthood, the nation's biggest abortion chain. And their work has documented "rampant sexual abuse cover ups, racism, medical misinformation, the willingness to assist sex traffickers, and false statements made by PP executives." More recently, Lila and her team discovered yet another starling practice at PP - gender-based abortions.

GENDER BIAS
On May 29, Live Action released a new undercover video showing an employee of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Austin, TX, counseling a young woman on a gender-based abortion. In this scenario, the young woman asks if she would be able to abort the fetus if tests showed she was having a girl. This video is the first in a new series titled "Gendercide: Sex-Selection in America," and it plans to expose the practice of sex-selective abortions in the US and how "the abortion industry facilitates the selective elimination of baby girls in the womb."

As revealed in the video, the PP counselor asks the young woman (in her first trimester) if she wishes to wait for an abortion until she knows "the sex of the pregnancy." As she said, "I see that you're saying that you want to terminate if it's a girl, so are you just wanting to continue the pregnancy in the meantime? The abortion," she continued, "covers you up until 23 weeks, and 5 months is usually (sic) when they detect, you know, whether or not it's a boy or a girl." From there, the counselor suggests that the young woman get on Medicaid in order to pay for an ultrasound to determine the gender of her baby, even though she plans to use the knowledge for an elective abortion. She also tells the woman to "just continue and try again" for a boy, if this time does not work out. As the young woman leaves, the counselor says "Good luck, and I hope that you do get your boy."

After seeing this, Lila Rose made sure that the public knew. "The search-and-destroy targeting of baby girls through prenatal testing and abortion is a pandemic that is spreading across the globe...Research proves that sex-selective abortion has now come to America. The abortion industry, led by Planned Parenthood, is a willing participant." In the past four years, six studies indicate that there are thousands of "missing girls" in the U.S., many from sex-selective abortion. The U.K., India, Australia, and other countries ban sex-selective abortion, but the U.S., save for three states, does not. "Planned Parenthood and their ruthless abortion-first mentality is the real 'war on women'," Lila asserted. "Sex-selective abortion is gender discrimination with lethal consequences for little girls."

As of now, Lila and the Live Action team are working hard to defend the Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act (PRENDA), which would ban sex-selective abortions nationally.
